My name is Alexis and I am a Philosophy teacher. I came to Berlin 5 years ago to do my PhD, which is closely related to Berlin and the history of Germany. The German capital is a living laboratory that has witnessed the most important events of the 20th century that have shaped the world as we know it today.
The streets of this city thus become a space where each and every one of us can listen and be heard: this is the main motivation that inspires me to do this work. From there the 'Side to Side' project was born, which proposes not only to look, but to see, listen and reflect on history.

Alexis has a lot of knowladge, he answered every question was funnynice and interesting, i had a bit problem somtimes with his accent, butmaybe its just me. All in all i enjoyed very much he knowes a lot and knowes how to tell it. Thank you Alexis

I was initially disappointed that the tour was led by a non German who did not have first hand experience of the Cold War. But Alexis did not disappoint. He was very knowledgeable and had certainly done his homework. I enjoyed that he used an iPad to show before pictures of what we saw. He brought it all to life. Highly recommend.
