Uns hat die Tour wirklich ausgesprochen gut gefallen. Wir haben teilweise Orte besucht, die wir noch gar nicht kannten, teilweise aber auch Ort, die uns bereits bekannt waren, uns aber das Hintergrundwissen gefehlt hat. Frank, der Guide, hat die Tour selbst konzipiert und man konnte wirklich spüren, wie viel Zeit und Energie er in die Organisation der Tour gesteckt hat. Die Tour hat verschiedene Epochen der Geschichte und Ihre Persönlichkeiten abgedeckt. An jeder Station wurde die Geschichte mithilfe einer Fotomappe unterstrichen. Ferner hat Frank oftmals Bezug zur Gegenwart genommen. Beides hat die Tour sehr greifbar gemacht. Es hat uns allen sehr gut gefallen und können die Tour sehr empfehlen!

I absolutely loved it! So many nice, sad, and interesting facts about the queer history in Berlin I had no idea of. I was surprised how much Frank new and how well curated this whole tour was. Would 100% recommend! Thank you so much Frank!

I did a few tours in Berlin and this was by far my favorite! Super fascinating perspective to view Germany’s historical events through rather than the more typical historical narrative. I also didn’t realize the historical significance of Berlin to queer history worldwide- lots of firsts happened here! And the queer history is not a separate history, it’s a different lens to view the German history from so if you’re unsure about this or another more typical tour I think you could get a good dose of the typical walking tour through this one. Frank was super engaging, knowledgeable and thoughtful about the stops/events he chose to add to his tour. He was funny and I felt like I could ask any question! I really liked how he wove in current events to not only make the historical context more salient but also to remind us that the progress we’ve made thus far has been hard-won and is coming increasingly under threat, if we become too complacent. I HIGHLYYY recommend this tour!

This was an amazing tour. Full with interesting facts about the queer history of this amazing city spread out in sizeable chunks. It felt like walking around the city with some friends, chilling and hearing stories about the places we were visiting. Frank is really nice and was always ready to give us more information when we had interest in something.
