I’m Mary and I hope you can have a fantastic time at one of my tours!
I grew up in Warsaw where my Jewish/Polish roots and family’s experience pointed me towards a keen interest in European history. In my work I combine my interest in social sciences with experience as a journalist fixer and grassroot organiser to deliver understandable explanation of even most complex processes and phenomena that shaped Germany and Europe as it is today.
I have lived in Berlin for 3 years now, which have been intense and extremely educational. I gained tour guiding experience working for the commercial market leader. Now I offer my independent tours - I’m particularly fond of those visitors who would like to reflect for a minute longer and go beyond the standard tourist glimpse-catching. Challenge your thinking, deepen your historical knowledge, feel the great vibes of the heart of Europe - just come along!
The tour was very detailed and covered the most important spots of interest of the area, Mary is very knowledgeable and passionate about her job.
Really nice tour, uncommon with a lot of personal sharing, I advise for those who want a more intimate experience :)
Was a great tour for all the history and politics lovers. Was an interesting insight to the past and present history of Germany.
Mary is personally very invested in the tour and very knowledgeable when it comes to sociology and history. I think the tour is especially good for people who haven't studied Germanys history much and are interested in some insight how society formed and what social studies today say about the rise of fascism. The tour is quite long, and there is a lot of background input, so make sure this is what you are looking for. We enjoyed the tour as it was a good introduction into our stay in Berlin.
