Do you want to experience all the magic and enchantment of Christmas in Madrid this year?
You can't miss the route that Arkeo Tour® has prepared for you. In Madrid, Christmas is already in the air!
Come and enjoy this tour specially designed so that the little ones in the family can experience all the excitement of these festivities. On this route we will visit the centre of the capital, where we will be amazed by the spectacular street lighting.
We will enjoy the traditional Christmas market in the Plaza Mayor . Did you know that this square is more than 400 years old and that it has been home to these traditional stalls for more than a century and a half? It is a must-see in a privileged setting.
We will walk down Calle Mayor until we reach Puerta del Sol , where we will delight in the great Christmas tree and where we will tell you, in detail, the story of the famous Chimes and the Twelve Grapes, a tradition of Spanish origin. In this square you can also enjoy the traditional Nativity scene of the Real Casa de Correos, a stage with more than 400 figures handmade for the occasion. Quite a spectacle!
We will walk up Calle del Carmen to see the famous Doña Manolita lottery office. It is the most popular and traditional lottery office in Spain. Open since 1904, it is a true Christmas icon!
We will arrive at Plaza de Callao and continue along Gran Vía, contemplating the explosion of light and colour that transforms the Madrid sky at Christmas. And, of course, the spectacle that its decorated shops offer us at this time of year. With our guides, you will discover the history of this artery of the capital.
We will end near the Metrópolis building, from where we can observe the decoration of the Post Office (currently City Hall) and the Cibeles Fountain, and we will talk about the traditional route of the Three Wise Men Parade. Make your reservation now!
This activity is only open to groups of up to 6 people. If you are 7 or more people, you will be asked to pay per person in advance to join the tour.
Next to the Fountain of Morpheus. (Plaza de la Provincia. Madrid). You will recognize the guides by their red umbrellas.
