Am an English speaking freelance tourist guide been doing tours for over five years. I studied tourism at the university and so passionate about nature and wildlife, and about using tourism as a tool for conservation and restoration. I volunteer with the Lake Nkuruba Nature Reserve as a conservationist ensuring the restoration of indigenous tree species and extending the forest cover. No wonder it's at this place i normally meet with the people i walk around.
On this tour expect to take a nature walk around Nkuruba nature reserve for four species of monkeys that call this place home, several species of birds, visit a local farm from where you will meet the local who will take you to visit his plantation of coffee after will guide you through the traditional way of processing coffee using very local tools. This process begins with a visit to the coffee plantation, passing through the traditional processing and preparations in the kitchen until the moment of serving.
After all this process, we proceed to another local house to visit the vanilla farmer who also guides you through the whole process of growing, curing and drying vanilla.
This tour requires you to have:
