Tanzanian culture, vibrant markets, fine restaurants, unseen attractions, museums and much more
Our starting point will be Shoppers, the largest supermarket in the city on our tour. We will see a variety of restaurants, souvenir shops, exchange offices and ATMs near the supermarket once we arrive.
We'll also spend time at the Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre, which houses the past and present of Tanzania's more than 120 tribes in one complex . The collection includes carvings, precious stones, antiques, clothing and literature.
We will start going up the road from there, passing through the central market.
It is a vibrant market with fruits, vegetables and kitchen items.
If you want to purchase something, keep in mind that the price is usually negotiable.
After that, we will take a walk through the Maasai Market, where you can find a variety of beautiful handmade items.
People sell bracelets, chains and rings, as well as pictures, coasters, mugs, dolls and anything else they can think of.
If you want to buy a small gift for your friends back home, this is the place to go.
We will introduce you to the area surrounding the Clock Tower, which is said to be the heart of Arusha.
Excellent restaurants, ATMs, bookstores and other services can be found here.
Finally, we will take our time to visit a germstone museum called the Tanzanite Experience , where we will learn about the history, mystery and rarity of this rare gemstone, which is only found in Tanzania.
Last but not least, I would like to show you a cozy restaurant that serves only the best and most delicious Tanzanian cuisine. The tables are surrounded by trees and an art gallery which adds to its beauty.
I will say goodbye and thank you for the hours we spent together.
