I am Fatumah a proud lady guide living in Kampala. I have worked as a city guide for about 5 years and am so passionate loving to meet new people. Moving around with me will give you the best memorable experience.
Kampala is a multi-hill city that has a rich history about Uganda. It is a city with diverse tribes and religions. It best describes the true Ugandan way of life. Kampala is the best first sight in Uganda.
The tour begins at the meeting point of the Uganda National Mosque with your guide. ( The visitor will be required to pay entrance fees to the site, dress in the Islamic dress code, and take a 45-minute tour to see the interior view of the mosque.) Also climb the minaret to have a view of the city of Kampala at its tip .
This will give you the best clue as to how and where we are going to move.
Our next visit will be to King Mengo's Palace to hear the story of the rich history of Buganda and Uganda in general. ( A visitor will be required to pay site entrance fees to take a one-hour tour to view Idi Amin's torture chambers.)
We will head to the city center and walk through Owino Market to experience the organized chaos.
From there we move to the cloth market and stop at a local restaurant to taste local Ugandan food or rolex while enjoying the view of the old taxi park.
Walk through the old tax park to the Hindu temple. ( The temple will not require entrance fees.)
From there to the food market (Nakasero) we will go to the Independence Monument and Sir Edward 2 Monument to learn about the history of Ugandan independence.
Continue to African Village, the artisanal souvenir market where the tour will end.
The tourist will thank the guide for providing the service.
The tour will last 3 hours.
I will pass by the Information and Tourism Office of the Gaddafi National Mosque wearing a red t-shirt.

The tour requires to make payments for the visit inside the mosque and going up the tower for the view of Kampala city. The guests will also be transformed in the islamic dress code as a requirement to access the mosque. From there we move to the next destination and the down town.
The market is the next stop where they sell second hand stuffs and food. This has got the experience of finding the exit as it is part of the test during the walk in the market by your guide.
The old taxi park isthe next stop as we also have a break at Mambo restaurant for a soft drink as well having a view of the organised chaos from the balcony. The break is option to those guests who feel they should have it before moving to the next destination.
