Greetings! I'm Akaki Sulava, a proud local of Kutaisi, my beloved Hometown where I took my first breath in the vibrant 90s. By profession, I am an air traffic controller, but my true passion lies in showcasing the beauty of Kutaisi through my free walking tours since 2018, and organizing captivating Soviet Tours in western Georgia since 2019. My heart beats with excitement as I have the opportunity to connect with fascinating individuals from all corners of the globe. The love I hold for my city inspired me to embark on this journey, allowing me to share its hidden gems and provide a unique exploration experience to the community of travelers. Witnessing the joy and satisfaction on their faces at the end of each tour fills me with an indescribable sense of fulfillment. As an avid traveler myself, I wholeheartedly support the concept of free walking tours worldwide and have actively participated in many of them. Being able to contribute to the development of my city is not only a way of expressing gratitude for the enriching experiences I've gained, but also a chance to give back and unveil the wonders of Kutaisi to others. Join me on a memorable journey through the charming streets of Kutaisi, where history, culture, and adventure intertwine. Together, let's create lasting memories and celebrate the essence of travel.
Join us on this historical tour of Tskhaltubo which was once one of those spa resorts on the so-called Soviet Riviera.
Tskaltubo became an important spa-resort during the Soviet times. Eventually, there were 19 sanatoriums and pensions, nine baths, a resort park, and the Scientific Institute of Balneology and Physiotherapy.
I will be on the location that is called "Free Walking tour Kutaisi" on the google map. With my red umbrella.
