Karnak Temple
Location: East bank of the Nile River, covering approximately 200 acres.
Purpose: Dedicated to the Theban triad of gods—Amun, Mut, and Khonsu.
Features:
Great Hypostyle Hall: 134 massive columns, some reaching 80 feet in height.
Obelisks: Includes the Obelisk of Hatshepsut and the Obelisk of Thutmose I.
Sacred Lake: Used for purification rituals.
Avenue of Sphinxes: Connects Karnak to Luxor Temple.
History: Construction began around 2000 BCE and continued through the New Kingdom.
Tip: Visit during sunrise or sunset for a magical experience.
Luxor Temple
Location: Also on the east bank of the Nile, within walking distance of Karnak.
Purpose: Dedicated to the god Amun.
Features:
Colonnade of Amenhotep III: Rows of columns with intricate hieroglyphs.
Courtyard of Ramses II: Statues, obelisks, and a colossal seated statue of Ramses II.
Birth Room: Depicts the divine birth of the pharaoh.
History: Built during the New Kingdom with additions by various pharaohs.
Night Illumination: Beautifully lit at night, creating a magical ambiance.

After 18:00: Only Luxor Temple is available.
