Between the end of November and the beginning of January, the Belgian capital dresses up in its finest finery. We will enjoy its lively atmosphere on this free Christmas tour of Brussels , where we will visit the typical markets selling gifts, decorations and sweets.
We start at the impressive Grand Place , where a huge Christmas tree and a light show illuminate the elegant facades of historic buildings. From there, we head to the famous Manneken Pis , who also celebrates Christmas in a festive costume.
The tour continues towards the Église Notre-Dame du Bon Secours , and, a short distance away, the Église Saint-Nicolas , with its medieval style, welcomes a warm Christmas atmosphere, perfect for stopping to contemplate its nativity scene.
We continue towards the Bourse , where Christmas markets fill the area with the aromas of mulled wine and local delicacies. We then pass by the Halles de Saint-Géry , a former market hall converted into a cultural centre.
The Église Sainte-Catherine is our next stop, with its busy Christmas market and ice skating rink. The route takes us to the Place de Brouckère , with its Christmas lights and decorations illuminating the square.
The tour ends at the elegant Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert , where the covered walkways are filled with sparkling lights, providing the perfect ending to this Christmas tour, full of magic and tradition in the most iconic corners of Brussels.
