WELCOME to this FREE TOUR of Almería ! I am Claudia , a historian from Almería, currently studying for a PhD in History . With more than six years of experience as a free tour guide, I invite you to discover Almería , a city in the eastern part of Andalusia and on the shores of the Mediterranean . It has a 4.5 km long promenade and holds the record for hours of sunshine per year in Europe! In addition, it is known for being the orchard of Europe. On my tour you will learn about the ancient history and fascinating curiosities of this incredible city.
On this tour, you will travel through the different eras of Almería, visiting iconic places such as the Alcazaba of Almería , the Cathedral of Almería , the old souk, the Civil War Shelters, the Cable Inglés or the Plaza Vieja. In addition, I will recommend the best bars to enjoy the typical tapas , and you will be able to take photos in the places where films were shot in the city.
On this tour I will reveal to you that Almería is the easternmost city in Andalusia . The capital is on the seafront, with stunning beaches and a magnificent climate all year round.
