Fernando

Hello! I am Fernando, originally from the beautiful state of Oaxaca, I am an Architect specialized in Urbanism and with a master's degree in Sustainable Architectural Design. I am passionate about the history, culture and architecture of everything that Oaxaca offers. I play soccer and my favorite hobby is doing magic with cards and other instruments. I like meeting people from different parts of the world, because that way I learn new words, customs or ways of thinking.

We got insights into places we otherwise wouldn’t have seen. Very inspirational, and a little bit of magic in the end.

El tour de Fernando es absolutamente recomendable. Nos enseñó lugares especiales y de gran calidad de Oaxaca combinando arquitectura actual e histórica. Le gusta mostrar estos tesoros de la ciudad y se nota. Gran experiencia!

Fernando was great. It is a very well planned tour and hugely informative. Fernando makes it personal and inclusive. He is an architect and I enjoyed hoew he showed how the heritage and contemporary styles have blended so well.

This tour was great and we were really pleased that we did it. If you’re into architecture and design, and finding out unusual bits of Oaxaca’s history, we would really recommend this tour. Fernando is very passionate about the local architecture and shows you different parts of the city that feature unusual and interesting architectural aspects, such as the stamp museum (honestly, don’t skip it, it’s lovely!). He was also happy to send us the itinerary we had followed, plus some recommendations for local restaurants, cafes and coffee shops - not only for Oaxaca but also for our next stop, Puerto Escondido. It may be helpful to know that there is a minimum suggested tip - in the end the tour was so good that we happily tipped higher than the suggested amount.
