Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Fallas - Free tour Valencia
Tour description
THIS TOUR INVOLVES THE PAYMENT OF 3 EUROS IN COLLABORATION WITH THE CASAL FALLERO THAT WE WILL VISIT IN WHICH WE WILL HAVE A TYPICAL DRINK.
Las Fallas is Valencia's biggest festival, a colourful festival thanks to the Fallas monuments full of ingenuity and art. It is also a noisy festival thanks to the firecrackers, fireworks, music and parades.
This is a unique tour that combines the history and traditions of this spectacular Valencian festival, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
I will tell you about the different aspects that are part of the festival: the meaning of the "ninots" and the origin of the fallas, clothing and hairstyles, mascletás and fireworks, casales falleros, flower offerings, typical food and drink, music and lighting.
Everything will be sprinkled with anecdotes and real experiences from the hand of a Valencian guide. We will visit 6 fallas in total, which belong to the Special Section and First Section. We will leave the Estación del Norte building on Játiva Street to admire the multi-award-winning Falla de Convento Jerusalén and from there to the popular Falla del Ayuntamiento . From there we will walk to the historic fallas of Pza. de la Merced and the Mercado Central.
We will visit a Casal Fallas where we can chat with the protagonists of the festival, rest and have a drink. We will complete the tour by visiting the Av. Oeste fault. Our last stop will be at the El Pilar fault , which has a long tradition and is located in a very curious environment.
This route may be altered due to Fallas events such as the awards ceremony which do not allow access to the town hall square.
