IMPORTANT NOTE! PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITHOUT GIVING THIS TOUR GUIDE A FEW DAYS NOTICE DUE TO WORK & TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS, THANK YOU! I'm a singer/songwriter who was born in Liverpool and started out as a musical Liverpool tour guide about 4 years ago. I always had a passion for the Merseybeat era and the Liverpool city itself with it's very colourful history. So it was a simple choice for me to become a tour guide for my city. I try to encapsulate some of my passion in every tour and accompany it with a little tune or three on each of my trips too. Hope to provide you with a bit of Liverpool 'Scouse' wit, humour, entertainment and history on one of my tours.. Hope to see you all soon!
The best tour in Liverpool. Begin at the Unesco World Heritage Site-Liverpool Pier Head, which will take you on a historic walk along the piers of St Georges and Albert incorporating a history of Liverpool's maritime heritage. Giving brief descriptions of where to find all the museums in Dockland, ie the Tate, Maritime & Beatles Museum and amongst other things the world's first fire proof warehouse system built by building engineer Jessie Hartley in 1846. Before or after the tour you can enjoy the 45 minute long 'Ferry Cross The Mersey', the worldwide hit from 1965 and forever encapsulated in the Gerry & The Pacemakers Immortal song of the same name. The Ferry Terminal is also located at our Canadian Boulevard departure point. We can then explore the history of the 3 graces, better known as the Liver Buildings and take you on a walking tour of the city. We will go for a walk to the cavern quarter incorporating the legendary Cavern Club and Mathew St, where it all began for the famous 1960s Merseybeat and a group called The Beatles. The tour will then take you for a walk to the Cultural Quarter on William Brown St and some of our most beautiful Grade II listed buildings including the Walker Art Gallery, Central Library, World Museum and the jewel in the crown that is St Georges Hall. We will walk across the road to the Liverpool Empire Theater and Lime St Station. Walking to the Adelphi Hotel, the Georgian Quarter, 2 magnificent cathedrals and many other famous landmarks in and around the city. For those who want an extended tour to see where the Beatles lived, a drive to the nearby town of beautiful Woolton and Allerton where I will reveal where you can see where John Lennon and Paul McCartney started from. On the way to Ringo's birthplace. For those with a little extra time on their hands, we can also find out where George Harrison was born and where he used to hang out as a kid. We will also visit and discover the fascinating history of Penny Lane, Eleanor Rigby and Strawberry Fields. He then returns to the city where you can hear the story of how and he shows you where the Beatles met. All my tours are also intertwined with some songs of mine on Ukulele that rekindle memories of Liverpool's bygone but prosperous history.
I will be wearing a dark blue striped jacket and blue pants by the Beatles statue on Waterfront, Canadian Boulevard, Pier Head.
