Hi, I'm Peter. Born on the island, I have been living and working here for many years. My previous job as an event technician is on standby...and this gives me the opportunity to realize a long-cherished idea. I have taken part in many Free Walking Tours around the world, so I know the questions one has about a new city as a visitor. Besides answers to all these questions, I like to tell the stories that usually remain hidden, that a guest easily overlooks if not accompanied by a local.
Born on the island of Lindau, lived and worked here for many years, it has become the center of my life. I know all the alleys, corners, many stories and also the history of the small island in Lake Constance.
The tour starts at the main entrance of the train station. On our walk you can see many historical buildings , but also the daily life of the locals. I will tell some history, but mostly stories , which will give you a better insight and explain some legends and "specialties" of that little island. You will see the Torre de los Ladrones, an old prison, the Fuente de los Locos , the smallest path, the biggest lion , the oldest church (over 1000 years), the best places to swim or take good photos. I will explain what the locals like the most and what is easily supervised by tourists when they walk through the small narrow streets and are fascinated by this charming old town.
The Free Walking Tour Lindau is a completely new project. It starts for the first time in July 2020 and I start it as a solo show at the beginning. During the tour we will have a short break in the Market Square with the opportunity to have a coffee or a small snack. Try "Leberkäs" ... if you dare ... The tour will take place, if booked and confirmed at least the day before.

Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
