Hi, my name is Ana. I am a historian, art restorer, and recently a tour guide. During my time at collegue I wrote books about Dalmatia and Split. I also did the restoration on renowned landmarks of Split - Statue of Grgur Ninski, Diocletian's mausoleum, portal of palace Augubio etc. I recently got a tour guide license and would be very happy to share my knowledge with the people visiting my hometown.
Hi,
my name is Ana. I participated in the restoration of many Split landmarks including the statue of Grgur Ninski by Ivan Mestrovic, the Diocletian mausoleum, the portal of palace Augubio, etc.
Being a tour guide is a long-time wish for me. I will walk you through historical facts as well as stories and mysteries surrounding Split and Diocletian's palace.
We will begin our journey in park "Đardin", then we will make our way to the map on Split Riva. After that, we will make our way through the Diocletian's basements to Peristil. From there we will go to Diocletian's apartment, vestibular, cryptoporticus, etc. From there we will make our way to the golden (north) gate. There you will also see the famous statue of Grgur Ninski made by renowned and world-famous sculptor Ivan Meštrović.
From there we will go to Pjaca and Voćni Square where we will finish our tour.
Looking forward to meeting you! :)
You will find me near the fountain "Zdenac" in the middle of the park
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
