Dear hikers, welcome to Marrakech!
Founded in the 11th century, Marrakech was the first plain chosen by the Berbers to establish their capital city, also known as the Pearl of the Desert or the Red City. Marrakech, with its continental climate, gets more than 300 days of sunshine a year and less than a week of rain, but Marrakech doesn't let anyone miss the aqua with its nearby aquifer, and that's thanks to the snow-capped High Atlas mountains from November to April.
We visit the historic center:
- The Gardens of the Koutoubia Mosque
- Djemaa el Fna Square
- The Kasbah district
- The Jewish Quarter
- Part of the medieval medina
- A typical palace
- A riad
During this visit, which lasts about 3 hours, you will not miss the flavors of Moroccan gastronomy.
