    Our next stop is Russian Slaboda, an old district established in the 19th century when Gyumri transitioned from a settlement to a town.     Armenian Apostolic Holy Saviour’s Church (end of the tour)

    Our tour continues to the Armenian Apostolic Holy Saviour’s Church, a 19th-century gem located in the center of Gyumri on Vardanants Square. The church suffered near-total destruction during the Spitak earthquake in 1988. However, restoration efforts began in 2002, and today, the church stands as a symbol of resilience and faith. As we visit this sacred site, you'll learn about its historical significance and the restoration journey that brought it back to life.
