Hello, my name is Jalal and I am an official guide in Tetouan. I was born in this beautiful city that I am in love with and for me it is an honor to be able to show it to visitors. I consider myself an open-minded person and I like interacting with people from all types of cultures and countries. Thanks to having lived many years in Spain, I will be able to offer you other perspectives on the life and customs of the country and you will also be able to ask me questions without any reservations. The guides who sometimes accompany me, or do this tour when I am busy, are my great friends, Hassan, Khalid and Mohamed. They are the best local representatives, born and raised here and with a long and extensive experience as local guides, a real luxury. For all these reasons, I would love to be your guide in my city so that you can get to know it in depth, I assure you that you will have an unforgettable experience and it will be a place you will want to return to,
Discover Tetouan from its Wall and its (Alcazaba of the Avides).
Wonderful guided tour of Tetouan from another point of view.
We will start the tour at Plaza Muley Al mehdi, in the Church of Our Lady of Victories, then we will visit Feddan Square to observe from below how the old medina of Tetouan merges with the Spanish Ensanche.
We will go up to the Alcazaba passing through the gate of the Wall (Bab Nouader) to go up to the Alcazaba of the Avides to enjoy spectacular views of the Medina of Tetouan and the Rif Mountains, we will also see the Mediterranean Sea on clear days.
Next we will pass by the 15th century tannery and the artisan quarters to reach another gate of the Wall, Bab Saida, and then Bab Okla, the most spectacular gate of the Medina, where the Ethnographic Museum and the School of Arts and Crafts of Tetouan are located!
From there we will pass through the gardens of Muley Al mehdi or lovers' park, from there we will observe the old train station today converted into the Tetouan Museum of Modern Art and go up Bab Remuz to go up Luneta Street and end our tour at the Royal Palace.
An incredible tour that you can't miss!!
We are waiting for you dear walkers 😃
I'll be waiting in front of the Cinema Español!!
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
