Hi, I'm Jorge, but everyone calls me Jorgito and I'm a Guru in Holguín. I am a charismatic and communicative person, humble and with good human principles, which will be corroborated when we meet 🙂. I like to transmit to the traveler the culture of my city and its symbolic places as well as some historical data that is hidden in it. All the tours I have done have exceeded the expectations of tourists. I consider myself a humble, communicative and good-humored person, who transmits what the tourist is looking for.
Hello Travelers! I welcome you to Holguín 🌞😎🏖️. Beautiful city in the north of the Island of Cuba. Holguín is the third most populated province in Cuba, it has beautiful and symbolic places in its historic center, beautiful people, and above all a very natural and safe environment. Its beaches are a true paradise. My goal is for you to enjoy the tour.
The tour begins at our meeting point: Parque de las Flores, where you can see the Orígenes Mural in bronze relief that reflects 4 centuries of Cuban history. Then through the beautiful Boulevard we will reach the central park of the city and the largest, called: Calixto García. In this park we will visit the Periquera museum and I will tell you a little about its history. We then continue our tour along the boulevard and you will continue to appreciate the local life of its inhabitants (if you wish, you can visit an establishment where you can buy some souvenirs if you wish).
Later we will arrive at the park where one of the oldest basilicas in Cuba is located, the San José church, and this park receives its name.
Afterwards we will move to the Children's Park and along the same street we will reach the base of La Loma de la Cruz, here if it still has good energy we will climb its staircase that has 458 steps (it has benches to rest during the climb) when we reach the top , we will talk a little about its history and you will experience some of the most fascinating panoramic views of the city. Our tour ends here .
I will be in the so-called Parque de las Flores, in front of the origins mural at the intersections of Maceo and Aricochea streets.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
