Hi, I'm Melissa. I am passionate about nature and knowing the most remote and hidden places (even in my city). I love going for a walk, sharing with new people, and making this activity an unforgettable experience.
This free tour aims to visualize the city of Santiago from above and from this angle understand how the city has been constituted since its beginnings, and the landscape transformations that have been part of its history. We will also learn about the importance of Cerro San Cristóbal and its transformation as the largest urban park in Chile and the 4th largest in the world.
This space is ideal to learn more about the Chilean flora and fauna and the cultural events that are celebrated from this point where you can see the Andes mountain range in all its splendor.
It is also a favorable space to “leave the city without leaving the city” and walk along trails surrounded by nature.
During the guided tour we will make the following stops/visits:
Considerations/Recommendations:
- Reserve at least one day before
- A minimum of two people is required to take the tour
- It is a 2:30 hr walk
- Bring cash in local currency or card to pay for the ticket to go up the hill by Funicular!
- Bring water for the trip.
- Hat and/or sunscreen are essential
- Come prepared to have fun and walk surrounded by nature!
Meeting point: corner of Avenida Pionono and Constitución, on the sidewalk in front of the park. I'm wearing my ID badge.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
