Tour description

Manizales , located in the heart of the Colombian Andes, is a city known for its imposing mountain landscape, its coffee culture, and its colonial architecture full of history.
The free tour in Manizales offers a unique experience where the beauty of the region is combined with the kindness of its people.

Itinerary:
The tour begins at the Cable Tower , one of the most prominent architectural and tourist icons of the city, there we will learn about its history and we will also see the Cable Tower station and learn how, over the years, the Cable Tower Cable has had different uses (from being transportation to becoming a monument and cultural heritage)
We will also see some important structures in the cable area, which is currently one of the favorite places for Manizaleños and university students, because it has a lot of tourist and commercial importance (it has a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and the best nightclubs).
From Cable we will take public transportation (it has a price of 2500 cop) to the Cyprus neighborhood where we can visit the best viewpoint in the city. This was where the famous poet Pablo Neruda created a special bond with Manizales, where he gave it the name of the sunset factory.

In Cyprus we will know:

  • Cyprus Boulevard
  • Viewpoints to see the best sunsets
  • Monument to the colonizers
  • Church of Cyprus and its history
  • tower to heaven

In addition, you can enjoy different types of cuisine.

We will end the tour in the historic center of the city where we can appreciate the colonial architecture, as well as different houses characterized by their colonial architecture, many of the buildings are very well preserved and have been restored to preserve their original beauty.

We will visit the Plaza de Bolivar and there we will see:

  1. Bolivar condor monument
  2. Manizales Cathedral with a neo-Gothic style
  3. Government Palace (colonial)
  4. Race 23 (the most important in Manizales)
  5. Colonial houses

These are some of the many things you can see and experience in Manizales, a place full of history, life, charm and will give you an authentic vision of the city and its cultural heritage.
