Hello! My name is Manuel and I will be your guide during this tour. Over the last 10 years I have travelled a lot for work or study and I have used free tours as a way to understand a little more about the culture and customs of the area with the help of a local guide. Now I can contribute my bit, and since I like history, and speaking in public was never a problem, I offer you the perfect combination for it. I look forward to seeing you!
Free tour Canterbury is a two-hour guided walking tour through the old town and main tourist sites of the city of Canterbury, this impressive UNESCO World Heritage city .
We will start in Buttermarket Square (in front of Christ Church Gate or the entrance to the cathedral), from where we will head towards St Augustine's Abbey and finally St. Martin's Church, the place where Christianity began in England.
After this visit, we will return to the interior of the city walls via St. Peter Street, and we will walk along the main artery of the city showing the different places of cultural heritage. We will end our visit at Westgate.
IMPORTANT: The guide reserves the right to cancel if there is not a minimum number of walkers (notification is always given the evening before).
I'll be waiting for you in Buttermarket Square, opposite Christ Church Gate (there's a shop called Britannia), with a little Spanish flag with the tour logo.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
